To think that on a given afternoon Maggie was "taken to the curb", like the rest of the garbage that her previous owner set out, as she proceeded to clean out the back yard including Maggie!
Maggie came into rescue filthy dirty, her ears were full of gunk, and her skin was irritated beyond belief, her tail remained tucked tight between her back legs,....I am sure she was scared to death wondering what the future could possibly hold for her,....could there be anything worse that being isolated from human contact? Something that English Setters crave so much?
Thank goodness Maggie didn't have to find out, instead Maggie's guardian angel was called to the rescue, and luckily, with a littlle help from IBR, her Angel was there to hear Maggie's call,......

Morning all. I am "Maggie Mae's" new Momma. And Susan has given me this opportunity to share a bit with you about Maggie. First of all - Maggie is WONDERFUL!!! I think it was "Love @ First Sight" - I can't tell you how much I ADORE MAGGIE MAE!!! :P)
She is doing so much better now!!!! :P) She is gaining weight, she will take her tail out and wag it like a Setter, she smiles sometimes, and she will "chatter" once in a while. Susan said I was her Gaurdian Angel, but somehow I think it is "Maggie who is the ANGEL here!!" ...she blesses me every day, with her sweet gentle ways, and all the snuggles & cuddles. The best part of every day, is going home to be with Maggie!!! She is WONDERFUL!!
Please keep Maggie in your prayers, as she will be going in for her second heart worm treatment this wk. I was told she had a difficult time, with her first one, but Dr. Ben did an EKG and she has gained a little weight, seems to be feeling a bit better than when she came to me, and so he wants to try to do her second heart worm treatment this wk. (It will be very hard on my heart, to have to leave her in the clinic, but the clinic is only a few blocks from my work, down the same street, so I will go check on her every afternoon, when I leave, he wants to keep a very close eye on her, for a couple of days, he says, so he knows, she is OK. Dr. Ben is very quiet and very gentle with Maggie, and she is ok with him.) I am just anxious to get this overwith, and back home....it is going to be real tough, for me to leave her..........we are almost inseperable now!!!! :) :P) Please keep Maggie in your prayers this wk. Thanks!! AND a HUGE THANKS to Lisa, Natalie & Susan for all your wonderfully kind words of support. You just do not know how much it has meant to me & Maggie!!!
Till next time.
Maggie Mae :P) & Me ;)
